The Outreach Ministries at Mount Hebron will lead the church by being an extended arm into the communities locally, nationally and internationally. The ultimate goal of all these ministries will be to lead each life touched to a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Community Cultural Enrichment (CCE): To build up, encourage and enrich the lives of community youth, ages 5-16, who because of socio-economic status may have limited privileges. It will serve as a mentoring hub, teaching the life skills necessary to foster positive attitudes and the desire to excel in each participant, with the ultimate goal of salvation. CCE provides cultural enrichment classes to community youth on Saturday mornings from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
Prison: To lead Mt. Hebron behind the prison walls to minister to those who are incarcerated. The ministry may include but not be limited to, sharing a listening ear, teaching class, setting up and or participating in worship services and providing for some basic physical needs.
Partners In Education: To serve as a liaison between the church and our neighborhood schools, under-girding them with prayer, physical and financial support. MHCM current Partners In Education schools are Brazier Elementary, Chastang Middle School, Blount High School, Leflore High School, and Vigor High School.
Van/Bus: To minister by providing transportation to individuals without other means, that desire to attend worship or other church activities. If transportation is ever needed, please contact 251.457.9900.
Drama: To provide Christian based performances as a means of sharing the Gospel. Performances may include, but not be limited to skits, dramas or musicals with the sole purpose of reaching the lost and encouraging the saved.
Puppet: To use puppets as a means to spread the gospel message to people of all ages, softening the hearts of those in the church and community to receive with meekness the engrafted word of God.
Evangelism: To serve primarily as a source of witness and Christian discipleship to individuals outside of the church walls. The ministry is responsible for leading Mt. Hebron in the development, implementation and execution of a comprehensive program of outreach in the surrounding communities. Its main purpose being to lead the church in strategic ways of seeking and saving the lost. Strategies may include, but are not limited to door-to-door witnessing, side walk Sunday School, partnership with other evangelistic teams and disaster relief efforts.
Homeless: To operate solely for the purpose of meeting the needs of homeless individuals. Needs may include, but are not limited to, providing temporary shelter, food, clothing, transportation to and from church, and spiritual and life skill instruction, which would lead to transformed conditions.
Vacation Bible School: To reach the community, inviting people of all ages to come and experience the love of God in fun and creative ways. The primary goal of VBS teachings and activities is to introduce Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Overcomers In Christ: To serve as a support group for persons struggling with chemical addictions: encouraging, instructing and leading in the ways of Christ based on the Holy Scriptures. Support may also include, but is not limited to, being in a personal prayer partnership or referral to a professional agency.
World Mission: To reach the world for Christ with clean hands and a pure heart, through the ministry of Mount Hebron, offering witness and physical and financial support to ministries of indigenous people.
